Frequently Asked Questions
NoteTracker
One of the toughest parts of singing is hearing and singing the right notes. Most of us aren’t born with perfect pitch. Even the best singers need practice and coaching to get it right.
We make this easy with the NoteTracker. Our NoteTracker uses AI to show you the note you’re trying to sing and the note you’re actually singing, just like a real vocal coach.
SymphoniLab loads a pretrained neural network right in your web browser and uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to provide the best possible singing feedback.
By doing so, it provides accurate feedback for almost any voice even in noisy areas, so you can get a quick lesson in on your way to work.
NoteTracker is integrated with the lesson. It understands where are you are in the song and it adjusts its targets and feedback automatically so you don’t have to think about it.

The color-coded bar indicates the exact note that you are singing. A red colored bar means that you are singing higher, or sharper than you should.
A blue colored note indicates that you are singing lower, or flatter, than you should.
User Interface
SymphoniLab creates a piano based on the notes inside the song you’re currently working on. You can play the keyboard by clicking on the notes.

Songs are displayed in the form of sheet music, similar to the music that you would read as part of a choir or an a cappella group.

As you proceed with the lesson, the sheet music will scroll along and highlight notes, so that you always know where you are in the song.
The bar on top provides a list of lesson groups and individual lessons within a certain group.

By clicking on the lesson group, you can see which lessons you can try.
When you click on a lesson, it will instantly load the notes and start the lesson below.
Lessons
To begin your lesson, simply click “Start Lesson.” If your sound is on, you should hear the first note being played by the piano. The note tracker should also begin moving to your voice.

Yes you can! Our lessons will change depending on your vocal range. We currently have two programmed in, but we’re working on building out full Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass versions of our curriculum.

When you’re on accuracy mode, the software will advance as soon as you’ve hit the right note. If you aren’t moving forward, keep trying different notes and use the NoteTracker to see whether you’re too high or too low.

When you do hit a note, the note will turn green on the sheet music. The next note will then turn blue.
Ending a lesson is easy. Simply click "stop lesson: or close your browser window.
